Jordan Goldman Founder and CEO

Frustrated by his own experiences with the college admissions process, as an 18 year-old Jordan created the best-selling “Students’ Guide to Colleges” series of college guidebooks, released in five annual editions from Penguin Books. After graduating Jordan founded Unigo, which The Wall Street Journal’s Walt Mossberg called “a college resource built for the age of YouTube and Facebook.” Unigo has grown to help millions of high school students and families find, get in and pay for college, and Jordan has forged strategic alliances with publishers including USA Today, US News & World Report, The Wall Street Journal, McGraw-Hill Education and many more. Jordan has been an education expert on more than 75 episodes of ABC News, has been named “One of the Top 30 Young Entrepreneurs in America” by Inc Magazine, and “One of the Top 100 Young Entrepreneurs in America” by the White House. He studied English Literature at Wesleyan University and Oxford University, and lives in New York City.

Robert Clauser
Robert Clauser Chief Operating Officer

Robert is responsible for the growth and strategy, operations and financial stability and value creation of Unigo. Through Robert’s career, his work enabled content creators, aggregators, and distributors to better plan, invest in, and monetize their strategic initiatives by leveraging content, consumers, and technology, across and between the physical and digital arenas. Most recently, Robert served as VP, Strategy, Operation, and Chief Financial Officer of WNET, the parent company of THIRTEEN and WLIW21, the first- and third-most-watched television stations in America, as well the producer of Nature, Great Performances, American Masters, Charlie Rose, Tavis Smiley, Cyberchase and the Celebration of Teaching and Learning. Robert’s experience also includes private equity and structured finance (as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Media & Entertainment Holdings, Inc., a special purpose acquisition corporation with a focus in the media, entertainment, and communications industries) and competitive, growth and value-creation strategy (as Lead Media & Entertainment Strategic Services Partner at Accenture, where he had lead engagements for such companies as SONY, Bertelsmann, Viacom, News Corporation, AT&T and Comcast). Always involved in media and education, Robert currently sits on the Trustees External Affairs Committee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, serves as Vice Chairperson for the arts advocacy and research organization in NYC, the Alliance for the Arts, was a founder of icouldbe.org, a mentoring service for teens planning their college and career futures, and championed New Sector Alliance, a web-enabled counseling service that helps to bridge the Digital Divide. Robert holds an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business (and was recipient of the First Chicago Scholarship); completed course work at Waseda University, Tokyo; holds a B.A. cum laude from The University of Michigan; and studied film making at the School of Visual Arts.

Pete d'Angelo Tech Lead

Pete is a technologist with over 10 years' experience working both in-house and as a consultant across multiple industries. He began his career working in the UK as a database developer for a global media company, and currently specializes in web technologies (both client and server side). Pete joined Unigo in the summer of 2012 as a generalist, tech lead and architect. Prior to Unigo he worked for 2 years as a senior consultant at Avanade (joint venture between Microsoft and Accenture), providing technology solutions to fortune 1000 clients. He has also worked as an in-house engineer at The Princeton Review and EMI Music. Pete has an MSc in Computer Science from the University of London.

Zeeshan Raja Quality Assurance Engineer/Developer

Zeeshan Raja is a recent graduate of Polytechnic Institute of NYU; He currently holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Engineering. In the last year he has worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer and .NET Developer for Unigo. As a recent college graduate he is excited to be entering the work force and to be with a great company where he will be able to help Unigo's tech team.

Adam Seifer

Adam Seifer is a serial entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience building massive online communities. In a recent venture Adam was the co-founder, CEO and Chief Product Officer of Fotolog.com, a photo- sharing website. Under his watch Fotolog grew into a community of over 20 million members sharing more than 1 billion photos. Fotolog was sold to French media company Hi-Media for over $90 million. Prior to Fotolog Adam joined a small group of entrepreneurs to launch sixdegrees.com. At sixdegrees Adam served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Creative Officer, and with his help the site grew into a community of over 3 million members from 165 countries. Sixdegrees was sold to Youthstream Media Networks for $125 million. Adam graduated from Brown University with BA in Visual Arts. He has also studied at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and The School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York.

Tom Rogers

Tom Rogers has been the CEO and President of TiVo since 2005. Prior to this role his experience includes serving as Chairman and CEO of PRIMEDIA, Inc. (NYSE: PRM), which, at the time, was the leading targeted media company in the United States publishing some 200 magazines, operating more than 400 websites, and owning a wide range of television and video businesses. Prior to joining PRIMEDIA, Tom was President of NBC Cable and Executive Vice President of NBC, as well as NBC's chief strategist. Among his many accomplishments Tom founded CNBC, the nation's leading business news channel, and established the NBC/Microsoft cable channel and Internet joint venture MSNBC. In addition, he served as co-chairman of the Arts and Entertainment and History Channels, and was responsible for overseeing many other cable channels including Court TV, Bravo, American Movie Classics, Independent Film Channel, the National Geographic Channel, and numerous regional sports channels. Mr. Rogers holds a B.A. degree in Government from Wesleyan University and a J.D. degree from Columbia Law School.

Bob Chase

Bob Chase spent 8 years as President of the National Education Association, which is the nation's largest professional employee organization, and which represents 3.2 million teachers, higher education faculty and administrators. A passionate advocate for college access, Chase has testified on many higher education issues before Congress, and has been a frequent bylined author of education columns in The Washington Post and Education Week magazine. Chase has also served on several national and international education organizations, among them the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), the National Foundation for the Improvement of Education, and the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Chase earned his bachelor's degree from Providence College in Rhode Island and his master's from Western Connecticut State College. A U.S. Army veteran, Chase served a tour of duty in Germany between 1968 and 1970.

Don Ross

Don Ross has been the Senior Vice President / Chief Revenue Officer for Bankrate.com since 2006. From June 2001 until September 2006, Mr. Ross was Senior Vice President-Sales & Marketing for Harris Connect, a leader in affinity marketing for the directory, Internet and data services business in the education and association marketplace. From 2000 to 2001, he held an executive management position at zUniversity.com. From 1989 to 1998, Mr. Ross held various positions in media sales and sales management at U.S. News & World Report, where he rose to the position of Vice President of Advertising Sales. Mr. Ross received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison University and his Masters in Advertising and Marketing from Michigan State University.

Scott Schiller

Scott Schiller co-founded the IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau), and has more than 20 years of advertising, sales, management and media experience from some of the best names in entertainment. Scott currently serves as EVP Digital Media Sales at NBCU Entertainment & Digital Networks and Integrated Media. Prior to this role he served as Executive Vice President, Global Marketing / Chief Revenue Officer at Glam Media. Before Glam he served as Senior Vice President of Interactive Marketing at America Online (AOL), Senior Vice-President of Strategic Partnership Marketing at Walt Disney Internet Group, and Vice President of Advertising and Partnership Marketing at Sony Online Entertainment. Scott earned his BA in Economics from Cornell University and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Chuck Hughes

Chuck Huges is the President of Road to College. His previous experience includes serving as a product director at Monster.com, where he led Monster's successful foray into consumer revenue products, including the multi-million dollar Monster Resume Writing Service business unit, and developed college and entry-level recruiting solutions for the MonsterCampus division. Prior to Monster Chuck spent five years as a Senior Admissions Officer at Harvard College Undergraduate Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. During his tenure, his regional territories ranged from Boston to Alaska. In addition he served as the admissions liaison to several sports programs, including football, tennis, field hockey, ice hockey, and women’s basketball. Hughes' book, What it Really Takes to Get Into the Ivy League and Other Highly Selective Colleges, provides detailed insights into the world of highly selective college admissions and offers valuable tips and advice on the selective college admissions process to students, parents and counselors around the world. Hughes earned an AB in psychology from Harvard College and a MA in political science from Boston College.

Jay D. Seid Managing Director at EG Equities

Jay D. Seid is an experienced investor with extensive experience serving as both senior management and as a corporate director. Jay is currently the Managing Director of Emerging Growth Equities and oversees its Capital Markets division. From 1993 - 2004 he served as a Managing Director of Bachow & Associates , a private equity firm with over $450 million under management, and was an integral senior member of the team that created over $1 billion of shareholder and limited partner value. In addition, Jay has held directorships at many public and private companies. Prior to joining Bachow & Associates, Jay was President ofJudicate, Inc., a publicly traded company providing arbitration and mediation services nationwide. Prior to Judicate, Jay was an attorney specializing in mergers, devoting a significant portion of his time to start-up and high-growth companies. Jay graduated with a BA, Summa Cum Laude, in Economics and Art History from Rutgers University and received a JD, with honors, from New York University School of Law.

Douglas Cifu President and COO, Virtu Financial

Douglas Cifu is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Virtu Financial. Prior to joining Virtu, Mr. Cifu was a Partner at Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP ("Paul Weiss"). At Paul Weiss, Mr. Cifu served as a member of the Management Committee, Deputy Chair of the Corporate Department and co-head of the Private Equity Group. Highly regarded by peers, Mr. Cifu is recognized in Chambers USA and Legal 500 as a leading mergers and acquisitions lawyer for buyouts and private equity transactions. In 2006, Private Equity International included Mr. Cifu in its list of the 30 most influential lawyers currently working in global private equity, citing in particular his expertise in technology-driven sectors. He has also been recognized by Crain's New York Business in its "Technology 100," a listing of the top 100 persons working in technology in the New York area. Mr. Cifu completed his J.D. at Columbia Law School in 1990 and his B.A. from Columbia University in 1987 where he graduated magna cum laude.

Torry Berntsen Vice Chairman, Virtu Management, LLC

Torry Berntsen is Vice Chairman of Virtu Management, LLC, a private family management company in New York City, as well as the Vice Chairman of Corporate Development for Independent Bank of Texas. Additionally, he sits on the boards of several portfolio companies of Virtu Management as well as the Norwegian Christian Home and Health Center, and the board of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Torry spent 25 years in senior management positions at The Bank of New York Mellon, including Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Client Management Officer, and President and CEO of BNY Capital Markets Inc. He also served as Co-Head of Syndicated Finance and Debt Capital Markets, and was a member of the original team that created the bank's broker-dealer subsidiary. Torry earned his BA in Accounting and MBA in Finance from New York University.

Paul Britton CEO, Capstone Holdings Group

Paul Britton is the CEO of Capstone Holdings Group. Capstone and its affiliates form an innovative, multi-faceted financial services firm that specializes in and supports the trading of volatility as an asset class. The firm's trading and volatility strategies span equities, commodities, currencies, credit and fixed-income on an international basis. Capstone also offers customized tail hedge solutions for clients. Headquartered in New York, the firm has offices in New York, London and Singapore. Capstone Holdings Group was formed in 2004 following Mr. Britton's purchase of the U.S. operations of Mako Global Derivatives, a leading options market maker in Europe, where he had been its U.S. Chief Executive Officer and a member of its board of directors for 5 years. Mako Global Derivatives was established in 1999 when Mr. Britton and his two partners orchestrated a management buyout of Saratoga Limited, an options trading firm. Born in London, Mr. Britton graduated from London Guildhall University/London Metropolitan University in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in European Business Systems.
