Despite being the least populated state in the country, there are still more than a dozen colleges and universities in beautiful Wyoming, home to Yellowstone National Park. In the state capital of Cheyenne, which encompasses Laramie County, there’s the University of Wyoming, Laramie. This is the only public 4-year institution in the state and offers over 100 majors. It has been ranked as one of the Best Western College and Best Value College and has one of the lowest faculty-student ratios.
Most of the post-secondary educational options are 2-year colleges in Wyoming located around the state including Eastern Wyoming College, Northwest College and Laramie County Community College. Technical and vocational schools abound here, including WyoTech, Laramie and other schools offering 2-year career training degrees.
