Despite being the second smallest state in the US, there are over 25 colleges and universities in Delaware. The largest college in the state is the University of Delaware, UD. UD is well known for its engineering department and consistently ranks on the US News & World Reports list of best colleges. Another popular public school option is Delaware State University that is located in Dover, and is a historically black university. Dover is the capital of Delaware, and is also home to Wesley College, a private liberal arts college.
Many of the colleges in Delaware are located in the largest city Wilmington and include Goldey-Beacom College, Delaware College of Art and Design and the specialty Widener University School of Law. There are also many technical and community college choices in Delaware.
