Colleges in Indiana Mishawaka

The over 150 colleges and universities in Indiana attract the largest out of state population of any college in the Midwest, and this state is appropriately nicknamed the “Brain Bank of the Midwest.” Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, has the largest enrollment in the state and is known for its high academic achievement.

Another large university in Indiana is the Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis, which is located in the capital city of Indianapolis. IUPUI is a special collaboration between Purdue and Indiana University, and has an enrollment of over 21,000 students with many students coming from within the state. In South Bend, Indiana, is the famed Notre Dame University, with an excellent football team and academics to boot. Other small colleges in Indiana include Butler University and Ball State University.
