Colleges in Kansas Hays

Kansas offers a great deal academically with extremely strong public and private universities and community colleges. The University of Kansas (KU) and Kansas State offer top-notch academics, and are consistently highly ranked. KU is the largest university in the state and has a student enrollment of over 28,000 students and Kansas State has about 18,000 undergraduates. Kansas State is located in Manhattan, Kansas which is a small city while the majority of schools are located in the capital, Topeka and the largest city, Wichita.

Wichita State University, Emporia State University and Pittsburgh State University are all state universities that are overseen by the Kansas Board of Regents. They also supervise around 20 community colleges and vocational schools that offer mainly 2-year degrees.
