Colleges in Montana Missoula

Montana is an incredibly scenic state, with big open skies and vast mountain ranges. While the state is sparsely populated, there are over 30 college and universities in Montana. The two largest public university options are Montana State University and the University of Montana, which have nine campuses between them. Montana State University-Bozeman is consistently nationally ranked as well as UMT- Missoula.

There are many community colleges options in Montana, and many colleges with tribal affiliations and are located on reservations. Some of these include Chief Dull Knife College and Flathead Valley Community College. A few private liberal arts colleges are in Montana including the reputable and religiously affiliated Carroll College, which offers a choice of over 40 majors to students and many special program degrees.
