Colleges in North Dakota Ellendale

Known as the Great Plains State, North Dakota is home to over 25 colleges and universities. There are strong public colleges here, with 11 schools compromising the North Dakota University System, NDUS. The largest college in North Dakota is the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, and has been rated among the best Midwestern colleges and is known for its’ School of Aeronautical Sciences. North Dakota State University is also a popular public college in Fargo.

While most of the universities in North Dakota are public, there are a few private colleges, including the liberal arts school Jamestown College and the University of Mary, a Catholic school. There are also several tribal affiliated colleges in North Dakota such as the United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck. Many of the colleges are located in capital city Bismarck or Fargo.
