Utah has a rich offering of college and university options, with over 100 post-secondary schools in the state. As much of the states population resides in Salt Lake City, most of the colleges and universities in Utah are located here. Southern Utah University, Utah Valley State College and University of Utah, Salt Lake City have all been ranked among the best colleges in the US. The University of Utah offers more than 100 majors and over 90 graduate programs.
Provo, another populous city in Utah also offers college options. Brigham Young University, located here, is one of the most prestigious and competitive schools in Utah. BYU is affiliated with the Mormon Church, with which nearly half of Utah’s population is affiliated. Also in Provo is the notable public school Webster State University, Ogden.
