Colleges in Wisconsin Ripon

Wisconsin is a state historically focused on education, being one of the first states after the Civil War to work on building a strong, public education system. This is why the University of Wisconsin Colleges has 26 campuses and the Wisconsin Technical College-Green Bay has 16 campuses. The private colleges in Wisconsin are also quite strong, and schools such as Marquette University, Beloit College and the Milwaukee School of Engineering all have notable academics.

University of Wisconsin in Madison and Marquette University have ranked on US News & World Report’s list of best colleges. Many of these schools are located in the largest city in the state Milwaukee, and UW-Milwaukee offers students the choice of upwards of 160 majors and grants doctorates. Other colleges are located in Green Bay, Madison and La Crosse.
