I don't think this is accurate. I think people can exaggerate things ignore the fact that Lafayette is a very diverse place

Lafayette is a great place. I came all the way from Texas and didn't know much about it until I visited here as a senior. I have really fell in love with the place and it has become a home away from home. The academics are great and it is easy to find friends because there are so many ways to get involved.

Academics are tough but rewarding. I am a government major, which is a 10 class requirement, which means that I have plenty of time to explore other subjects and areas that I am interested. The professors will challenge you but are always willing to help

Students at Lafayette have a work hard play hard mentality. Academics are very important to students here, but at the same time they like to have fun. It is very easy to find a group of kids you get along with

There are so many student activities and groups that it is hard to narrow it down. Intramural sports are very popular at Lafayette, and most every sport you can think of is offered. Other than that, Student Government, debate club, and finance club are popular.

There are always parties on weekend nights. Students usually make there way to Campus Pizza by the end of the night, but off campus house parties are very frequent. Other than parties though there are always certain activities and of course, some work going on in the library.

The first time I went to the Lafayette Lehigh football game my Freshman year was a day I won't forget, simply because of the atmosphere around campus and at the game. It was a great day

The Lafayette dating scene is pretty normal. It is "acceptable" to be single or to date someone

The Greek system at Lafayette is popular. For the most part, unless you are on a sports team, if you want to be social and have parties to go to you join a fraternity or sorority. This isn't entirely true, but most people are involved in Greek life that are very social

The Professors at Lafayette are not afraid to challenge their students in the classroom. Work is demanding, but they are always more than willing to help students out.
