The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and an honors organization inviting first-and second-year college students. Membership is by invitation only, based on grade point average and class standing.

NSCS awards more than a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships every year. NSCS offers members exclusive access to scholarships, career resources, and leadership and networking opportunities. NSCS has more than 800,000 members and more than 300 chapters in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

LETS GET READY

Let’s Get Ready expands college access for low-income and first generation college-bound high school students. We do this by mobilizing and training passionate college student volunteers as tutors, mentors and role-models (Coaches) whoprovide free SAT preparation and guidance through each step of the college application process including college selection, applications, financial aid and college visits.

Having recently navigated the complicated admissions process, college Coaches are uniquely equipped to provide the tools, encouragement and inspiration under-served high school students need to succeed. To date, Let’s Get Ready has empowered more than 12,000 students to reach their college potential through the transformative efforts of 5,000 volunteer Coaches. 93% of our students enroll in college.

Independent Educational Consultants Association

IECA Member Educational Consultants are the nation’s leading professionals who assist students and families with educational decision-making. Their educational backgrounds, specialized training, campus visits, and professional experience equip them to help students choose colleges or universities that meet theirindividual needs and goals. Families seek the services of independent educational consultants (IECs) for a number of reasons:

• Desire for personal attention and assistance in the college search and application process;
• Assistance with a student who has unique learning issues or talents;
• Overwhelmed by the multitude of college options;
• Concern about investing wisely in the high cost of education and recognition that matching a student with the right institution is a most significant life decision.

Families working with an IECA consultant can expect a professional atmosphere where discussions focus on the student’s strengths and weaknesses, interests and talents, and needs and educational objectives. The IEC will recommend options and help families weigh alternatives of cost, location, curriculum, activities, and institutional atmosphere.
