    • What are the academics like at your school?

The professors are very accessible here, and relationships between professors and students are close. The campus even offers a program called TYPO (Take your professor out), where they give students money to take their professors out to dinner in town with a small group.

    • Describe the students at your school.

Diversity is the most popular word here. Although there are also problems with the administration not adequately supporting the diverse student body, the school is working hard to change that, with the new Multicultural Resource Center opening this semester.

    • What are the most popular student activities/groups?

People are ALWAYS doing something here! Everyone is so involved in so many activities, that many times it's difficult to schedule free time to hang out with friends!

    • Is the stereotype of students at your school accurate?

No, these stereotypes are not correct. Yes, the people who play sports here are smart, but they do not fit the "jock" stereotype. People who do and do not play sports mingle here much more than is thought

    • Here’s your chance: Say anything about your college!

Amherst is a pretty great school, although it sometimes feels very small (especially after having gone abroad to Amsterdam las semester!) with only 1600 people.
