    • What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?

The stereotype of students at my school is very artsy and "hipster". The stereotype is that everyone is very liberal and has put themselves out there in terms of the activities they choose to do, people they hang out with and their clothes

    • What is your overall opinion of this school?

NYU is a school that offers many opportunities to its students however it is not an easy school to navigate. It is quite large and impersonal and you truly have to advocate for yourself. If you are not vocal about what you want then you will not get it. Once you find your niche you will be happy here. Despite the fact that it is in a city, there are a lot of campus-like aspects to this school. It is a very expensive place to live and go to school.

    • What are the academics like at your school?

The academics are extremely rigorous and you will be well prepared for any real world experience given the work ethic that you develop here. The professors are mostly professionals who work and are adjuncts. Many of the professors are known throughout the country and the world and are the top in their field. There are a lot of of opportunities for academic success here.

    • Describe the students at your school.

Most of the students are fairly artistic. The student body is mostly caucasian however there is a large Asian population. There is a fairly large LGBTQ population. There are groups of friends and activities for students everywhere, however the more conservative students definitely could feel out of place here. Most of the students are from middle class backgrounds however there are a lot of students who come from the Upper class.

    • What are the most popular student activities/groups?

Fraternities and Sororities are very popular on campus. There are clubs for just about any interest that are all student run and there are student government opportunities throughout campus. The dating scene is not good at NYU. On weekends you will most likely find yourself at an apartment party or out at a bar. There are tons of things to explore around the city and New York truly becomes your campus. Athletics are not popular here and in fact many people make fun of them.

    • What are your classes like?

Interesting, wide variety of subjects, rigorous bt helps to prepare you and teach time management skills.
