    • What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?

Well, my school was voted #1 douchiest school in America by GQ, so I guess most people here are stereotyped as douchebags. I personally don't think this stereotype is accurate. Cornell has some of the nicest people you will ever meet! Most people are generally chill and laid back. Yes, you will find the douche-y jocks and frat boys, but for the most part, the people on campus are genuinely nice and not arrogant at all.

    • What is your overall opinion of this school?

Oh my gosh, I love this school. I couldn't be happier with my choice of college. I feel like everyone here can find people that they will get along with. There are so many different interests, clubs and personalities to go around; you're bound to find your niche. I honestly thought that it was going to be boring before I came here, but fortunately I wrong! There are a lot of fun things to do here, from college town parties to sports games to crazy fun in the dorms. The students here play as hard as they work--I remember my first college party, I went crowd surfing for the first time ever and it was totally fun! The only thing I don't like about the school is the weather and the uneven terrain. Too much rain/snow and not enough sunshine! And its hard to walk around this huge campus sometimes with all the hills and slopes. Other than that though, its not too bad, classes are challenging but nothing impossible. And there is plenty of school pride around here!

    • What are the academics like at your school?

It is very competitive here! Since most classes are generally 300 students or more, the only way to get the professor to know your name is to attend their office hours and speak a lot in class. Students study like crazy, there are some who LITERALLY spend all day in the library or pull all-nighters to get assignments done. The students here definitely take their academics seriously, especially since they lead to job/internship opportunities.

    • Describe the students at your school.

Students at this school for the most part are laid back. Everyone here takes their academics very seriously, BUT they also know how to have fun. There's a good balance of work and play. The students here are very diverse and accepting of one other. There are international students from countries such as Korea, Ghana, and Canada to name a few and a lot of them intermix. I don't think anyone would feel out of place at this school, there is something for everyone here.

    • What are the most popular student activities/groups?

Most students her like attending athletic events. I would say that it is the most popular activity to do. There are always people buying tickets and looking forward to sporting events. Most kids here also play sports, for boys lacrosse and track seem to be the most popular sport. And for girls it's probably volleyball and tennis. People also like to workout and go jogging a lot. I know it sounds like the school it fitness/sports crazy, but there are so many cubs it's too much to talk about all of them, I just know that there is a variety of everything, and above all there's partying. People party about every weekend except during around prelims/finals week. Fraternities and sororities are also really important, a lot of people rushed this year and got in, they are really excited about pledging and joining their frat/sorority.

    • Why did you decide to go to this school?

Even though I had never visited the campus before my first day of school, I knew this was the school for me. When a school representative talked to me about the school, she was very personable and painted a true picture of the school. The motto is "freedom with responsibility" and the campus is lively, diverse and open. From the many emails I received to the reviews from current students there, I felt comfortable and wanted at the school. When I got here, I knew I made the right choice. I been enjoying myself at this school ever since.
