Improve your chances of getting into college,

The best thing about this school is its diversity of students that come from all over the world. One thing I'd change are the types of clubs they have, I wish they had a film club for me to join (I want to do film when I grow up). There is TONS of school pride, every Friday is spirit day, there are always activities going on on campus, it's all really exciting. The school is a bit big, but right now, as a freshmen, my classes aren't in big auditoriums, I am in a class of about 20 people, so they can talk to everyone. Overall, I really like ODU.

The academics are just fine here. Just about most of my teachers know my name. My favourite classes are Film Appreciation and English. I love to write and make films. My least favourite (subject) is math, however the way my professor goes through everything, she really makes it less horrible. When I walk around campus I can see mini study groups and tutoring sessions in progress. I think it's cool when I see groups of friends that'd usually be skateboarding or talking about their social life, would be sitting in the library all trying to study for an exam. I am always studying to make sure my grades don't drop, especially in the classes required for my major: Film. I have scheduled confrenences with my English teachers whenever we have a paper due, to make sure I am on the right track, usually they tell me I am doing a super job. My academics here are just fine, and most likely will continue to be fine.

I think the frats groups and sororities are the most popular; they are always recruiting new people and performing things during activity hour. I am not in a sorority but I am involved in a group called Art League. It's a small group for art lovers. I believe football is ODU's best sport, A LOT of people turn out for those shows. They are so popular, they sell out fast! I am a commuter, so I am not familiar with the dating scene, nor the parties, or any of those social occasions.

I decided to go to this school because it is closer to my house in Portsmouth, and my mom really wanted me to go here (even though she wouldn't have minded if I went somewhere else). Also, it was cheaper for me to attend this school.
