What is your overall opinion of this school?
Knox has the most open-minded yet closed-minded people I know. Everyone wants to seem open-minded yet when right-wing political or conservative religious ideas are expressed people seem to become very offended and attack the people who express unpopular ideas instead of attacking the ideas themselves. It is frustrating.
What are the academics like at your school?
Education at Knox is without any doubt geared toward learning for its own sake but because of Knox's credentials and the intelligence of the student body people end up becoming qualified for Grad School and careers without any special effort.
Describe the students at your school.
Knox students are very accepting of other racial, religious, LGBT, socio-economic groups. I do not know anyone who feels out of place here. Some people try to start trouble about people not being accepting enough. However, I feel this is a misplaced discussion. Knox students try to believe that they know a lot about other cultures but they do not. As I said before they accept others but they simply do not know much about them.
What are the most popular student activities/groups?
Social life is centered around the fraternities. Each has its own following. But fraternities at Knox College are not like other school's systems. Knox's greek life is non-threatening and overall very open to other people. There is no "brother's only" mind-set all people are welcome at the parties.
What is the stereotype of students at your school?
Smart ass, strange, individualistic, smart people.
