    • What is your overall opinion of this school?

I love Notre Dame for a viriety of reasons. The most important reason why I love Notre Dame is the people. Most students feel that they can be friends with just about anyone on campus. You really don't understand how special the student body is until your attending Notre Dame as a student and then visit other schools and realize that Notre Dame's student body is just special.

    • What are the academics like at your school?

Notre Dame focus is on undergraduates. That means there is undergraduate research available everywhere for science majors. As a sophmore I didn't know what I wanted to do for the summer. I simply asked my favorite teacher if there was room for a chemical engineering undergrad in his research group. He simply said yes and that was it. It is so easy to get a research job here. All my friends who wanted to do research have a research position here. The rest of my engineering friends have internships as sophmores.

Professor's here are great and helpful. All of my professors know my name and I routinely talk to them outside of class. I have never had a class taught by a TA or someone that doesn't have a Ph.D.

In the college of engineering students are extremely intelligent. The nice thing is that we are not competitive with each other. We are encouraged by our teachers to do our homework in groups. I always do my homework sets in a group of at least 4 people. It typically takes 2 to 4 hours to solve 1 problem in chemical engineering and most problem sets have 4 to 5 problems. So doing the homework sets in groups to split of the workload is extremely helpful because it reduces the time taken on homework greatly.

    • What are the most popular student activities/groups?

Notre Dame has a wide variety of clubs to join. I played water polo in high school so i joined the club team at Notre Dame as a freshman. I would really recomend joining a group where you will get to know upperclassmen. The seniors on the water polo team showed me the robes, invited me to parties, and bought me booze. At the end of my freshman year I tried out for leprechaun. Out of 15 leprechauns I made the final 7. I didn't get the leprechuan but I'm trying out again. After I didn't make leprechaun I tried out for cheerleader and made the squad. Now I get to be on the field for all the football games...which is awesome!!! My closest friends are my guys in the dorm and all the cheerleaders.

    • Here’s your chance: Say anything about your college!

Notre Dame is a spiritual campus. To give you a good idea I'll give you an example. Notre Dame has a chapel in every dorm. My dorm's chapel has seats for 150 people. For sunday mass it is standing room only. People will stand in the back and sit on the floor in the front for mass.

Don't get the wrong idea though. You don't have to be catholic to enjoy yourself here. My dorm has 400 guys living in it, so about half go to mass and half don't. I myself am a protestant denomination and don't feel intimidated about the abundance on cathlic people on campus. One of my good friends is muslim and he still loves Notre Dame. So to rap it up. If your cathlic it will be easy for you to be spiritual. If your not cathlic your not the only one.
