    • What is your overall opinion of this school?

One experience I will always remember is my time at the Castle. The school owns and operates a castle where 80 students study abroad at for a semester. I recently got back and it is one of the most exciting time in my life. We study only 4 days a week and then we get time to travel. I visited 12 countries in that time, an amount that most people my age have not down in their lifetime. This was a major selling point when I came to Emerson and it was an amazing experience that I highly recommend to people.

    • What are the academics like at your school?

I am really lucky to be at a school that has the least amount of general education requirements. However, I still wish it was a lower number and that the classes that I did have to take were directly related to my major. I had to take an ethics class that was all about literature and philosophy. I wish it had directed towards my major of television. Though a plus at Emerson is that I do not have to take a Math class because I got a waiver. Most people get waivers, so if you do not like Math this is the place for you.

    • Describe the students at your school.

Emerson students are on the left side of the spectrum. Republicans are very rare and if people are they do not tell people. The liberalism has to do with the large amount of gay men and women at the school. There is such a high percentage there are some slogans people have. Such as "Gay by May," saying that a guy will come out by May. Or "Gay until Proven Straight." It is hard for single women at school because there is really not a large amount of eligible bachelors.

    • What are the most popular student activities/groups?

Athletic events have tried to become popular but most students have never gone to a single event. The school recently built a basketball court and most students are not pleased with the schools' decision. We all wanted more performance or practice space. For me I wanted more studio space because we currently only have two television studios that are often booked up.

    • Is the stereotype of students at your school accurate?

We were all different in our high schools but now what made us all different makes us all the same. It is hard in the beginning to get used to the fact that you are so similar to people.

    • Here’s your chance: Say anything about your college!

I really feel that Emerson was the right place for me. However, if you want a traditional college experience this place is not for you. In addition, this school is really great if you are interested in pursuing something that has to do with television, film, or radio.
