Small, enclosed campus environment; if you like that Amherst is a good place for you. Located in the five-college area, so there are tons of students around and it's easy to branch out and meet one of the 50,000 collegians in the area. It's D3, but there's a ton of pride for athletics, particularly the basketball team
Small calsses, professors know students on an individual basis. Education is geared toward learning for learning's sake; very few academic requirements. The open curriculum allows you to learn about and explore what you want.
Diverse, people dress very differently, students from all over the country and the globe. It's a very liberal place.
Students are very social with each other, though teams tend to hang out with each other. They have replaced fraternities as "fraternities." Depending on athletic commitments and such, you can party any time you want, though the biggest party nights are in order: Saturday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
Smart, cocky, sense of entitlement
The smart one is and the other two not really but some people are like that, but you'll find that at all places
It's a great place. I strongly recommend it.
