What is your overall opinion of this school?
Drexel is really great the way it is. We have a lot of school pride and we're definatly a college town type of area, especially with such a large neighboring college. When I tell people I go to Drexel, it's always a big deal. They all love to congratulate me and comment on what a great school Drexel is. Once, I even had someone approach me on the street and ask about the Drexel hoodie I was wearing. When he found out I went to Drexel, he congratulated me too! I didn't even know his name!
What are the academics like at your school?
Acadmeics at Drexel really aren't as hard as you'd think. The requirements are really core-based and orriented towards things you'll NEED to know when you get to the real world. Also, some of the professors are just really great. They'll always help you with just about anything you need.
Describe the students at your school.
Every type of student can be found at Drexel, and I don't think that anyone would ever feel "out of place".
What are the most popular student activities/groups?
Drexel has such a large number of activities going on that it's impossible to keep track of them all. Between the DAC Pack basketball fans and the Weekend Warriors there's hardly any way to keep track of everything that's going on. You'll definatly never be bored if you really want to get involved.
What is the stereotype of students at your school?
Drexel students are sometimes seen as the students that "couldn't" make it into Ivy League schools. Sometimes people also consider us the "nerds" of the college world.
Is the stereotype of students at your school accurate?
Heck no. Drexel students are just as smart (if not smarter) than Ivy League students. Lots of Drexel students actually made it into Ivy League schools and opted to attend Drexel for some other reason (like the awesome Co-op). We are also not "nerds". Sure, we're studious, but do "nerds" know how to have fun like we do?
