College Review What is your overall opinion of this school? For artistic kids it's one of the most suffocating places in the world. There is virtually no music scene and the music there is, is pretty bad for the most part. No one really understands, cares, or makes any effort to appreciate artistic endeavors of any sort. Classes are engaging and challenging and push me to do my hardest. I always feel like I'm learning a lot and and generally very close with my professors. The dance department has 10 professors and no more than ten majors so everyone is on a very colloquial first name basis. This makes learning from them much easier and more productive. The only problem with the academics is that no one seems to want to discuss anything outside of the classroom. Describe the students at your school. It's a very career oriented student body. Everyone seems to want to make as much money as possible instead of making money. It makes sense that the school would be that way considering how competitive it is to get in. Kids spent all there time in high school doing things in order to get into middlebury and therefore had no time to find out who they were or what their true interests or passions were. What are the most popular student activities/groups? Work hard play hard is the stupidest mindset ever. And everyone here has it. All anyone does is work their face off all week and then Friday and Saturday they just black out as fast as possible.
