    • What is your overall opinion of this school?

Yale is an unparalleled institution. For the first time in my life, I feel as if school administrators are actually on my side and trying to make all of our lives better. The school is willing to help you accomplish almost anything you can dream of. They will back you on almost any issue. It is really amazing to see the things that students create at Yale. The mindset on campus is one of sheer possibility. Although there is a tendency for Yalies to overload themselves, it is part of the fun. As soon as I get on campus, I can feel the energy of the place. It is not just a place for learning in classrooms; it is a place where you are constantly learning.

    • What are the academics like at your school?

The student/faculty ratio at Yale is something like 8:1, which is pretty incredible. Some of the most intense learning I've done has been in small seminars of 5-10 students. This generally results in an atmosphere of interest and discourse, but rarely competition. Especially for a Theater Studies major, students seem to want to help each other, never hinder. At Yale, learning is very much up to you. There are guidelines, but they are in no way restrictive. Professors vary, as humans do, but are in general very accessible and interesting. These are the people at the head of their fields, not just those who follow.

    • Describe the students at your school.

Republicans will feel out of place. Yale is a generally liberal campus. Financially, those from more middle or working class backgrounds will sometimes feel the disparity, but it is certainly not an overwhelming thing. Some kids turn out to be filthy rich, but you would never know it from the way they treat you. There is a fair amount of activism; the campus reacts to the world and does not try to hide from responsibility.

    • What are the most popular student activities/groups?

There are so many activities at Yale that if you don't find so many that it would ruin your schedule, then you're not looking. There is something for everyone, from entrepreneurship to juggling. Yalies seem to enjoy the party life, but are not obsessed with it. There are plenty of people who enjoy themselves every weekend without ever picking up an alcoholic beverage. In general, Yale has something for you to do, no matter what turns you on. Plus, frats are relatively unimportant, which many students will find appealing.

    • What is the stereotype of students at your school?

Yale is a place for rich, white, overly-privileged kids to continue their plans for economic domination. Yalies are uptight and insanely studious, rarely peeking out from their dorms/caves to see the light of a New Haven day.

    • Is the stereotype of students at your school accurate?

Though one will find people who fit that model well, the majority of Yalies are interesting, motivated people who come from a variety of backgrounds.
