FIU: The Big Picture
What I like most about FIU is that it is close to home. I love the fact that there are so many students because it gives you the opportunity of meeting a lot of diverse people. When I am on campus I am usualy in the library, studying. School pride could be improved. And my most memorable experience would be joining Alpha Kappa Psi. I have definitely learned and grown a lot. The most frequent student complaints is the inaccuracy and uncertatinty of the all major offices: College of Business advisors, Financial Aid, Parking & Transportation.
FIU Academic Life
FIU has its mixture of great teachers and terrible ones. There are a handful that make the effort to know my name. Some FIU students do have intellectual conversations outside of the classroom, but those are usually phylosophical or academically driven students.
FIU's Student Body
Most students come to class in a relaxed attire: a tee, jeans, and sneakers. Most FIU students are from the Miami area, and most likely Hispanic. Students always talk about how much they would like to earn one day.
FIU Student Activities + Social Life
The most popular organizations on campus are the sororities and fraternities. I am part of a co-ed Business Fraternity: Alpha Kappa Psi. I love being a part of it. My brothers motivate me to better myself and are always around when I need them. Last weekend I went to a Jazz festival in Doplhin Stadium.
FIU Naked Truth
The most problematic area on campus is the Financial Aid office.
