Quinnipiac: The Big Picture
The school is awesome. There's a huge quad and on nice days everyone lays out on blankets all day and just chills altogether. I've never been somewhere where people are so friendly. Everyone puts themself out there the first couple months to get to know people. After that it gets kind of hard because people kind of stick to their own cliques. When everyone's drunk you'll make a lot of friends though. New Haven is the perfect college town. QU is a big clubbing school and people head out 3 nights a week into the city. It is VERY easy to get a 21+ wristband at the 18+ clubs and if you have any fake ID, it is not going to be very hard into the 21+ clubs. Mine said I was 5'2" and it wasn't a picture or me. I'm 5'10"! But it's a good time. The shuttle service is pretty efficient and very useful on the weekends to charter students back and forth to the city.
Quinnipiac Academic Life
Classes are super small. Like less that 30. The fact that your teacher gets to know who you are really makes a difference. Go to their office hours. Make sure they know you and know that you're trying. Your grade will improve.
Quinnipiac's Student Body
We're not very diverse. We've had issues with that, but I don't see that as a huge problem. Students aren't really politically aware at all. We're extremely apathetic, but who cares anyway. Most people are from wealthy backgrounds and really don't understand the value of a dollar. I'm from a middle middle class framily when most people are upper, but I don't see too much of a problem. I may not have the name brand clothes and stuff but people don't really seem to care.
Quinnipiac Student Activities + Social Life
Hockey games are a blast!!! Everyone gets so into it. It is a lot of fun. They're big events in the winter and our new arena is pretty sweet. People are up like all hours of the night. If you can't sleep, walk around the building...you'll find someone. I'm going to miss that most at home...always having someone to talk to.
