What are some stereotypes about Amherst students?

Stereotypes: Smart Jocks, Girls arent that pretty, girls go on the fro-yo diet(freshman 15), professors are cool

Are the stereotypes accurate?

not really, no school is prefect

Amherst: The Big Picture

best thing= the campus (when the weather is nice) ppl outside, everyone just in a good mood
change= more choices at val
school = too small
Go to amherst = all the people who matter not only know what amherst is, but know that you are doing big things
Most of my time = in my room, or in the lib
college town = umass is its own town
administration = very nice from what ive worked with
big controversy = amherst confessional, anonymous postings, ppl bashing one another
not a lot of school pride at all
nothing unusual...until you get here
being a lordjeff
too much hw, damn

Amherst Academic Life

yea all my professors know me. favorite class fiction writing hands down. Hate math. Im always studying. common but not necessary. yea sometimes. Very competitive..but on the low.black music black poetry. idk havent chosen my major yet. Feel fine, open curriculum. Geared toward learning. But going to amherst in general is geared toward getting a job.

Amherst's Student Body

no one feels out of place, unless you are unsure of yourself or not comfortable with your sexuality. But then again you could just find others in the same boat as you. Wear anythign you want. Yea all ppl interact, just not a lot. Separated by sports...usually. All over. Rich ppl. yea some. predominantely left. no

Amherst Student Activities + Social Life

basketball, nasty. yea leave my room open sometimes. not very popular unless its basketball or playing williams. yea some good ones. Theatre is popping. more of a hookup culture although i got a girl. just by chance. hw definately although many are not. you gotta get here to know. party all the time. not very. had a track meet, then had to go to work, then went out and did my thing. Dancing, chillin with friends, videogames. Go to umass, go into town, go to other schools

Amherst Naked Truth

love it here, a lil adjustment needed but you gotta love it

In Closing ...
