Gen-eds are never very fun to take, but that is a given for most students who have a major. My art classes are challenging and so much fun! I have already learned so much and my art professor's are already becoming friends of mine. I am majoring in Graphic Design and I can actually tell that my professor's really want me to learn. I think some of the classes at ASU are a lot more fun and challenging than most people give credit for. The most unique class I have taken is definitely Visual Thinking. I had to buy a book called "wreck this journal" just so I could tear it up and destroy it! I also got to play games and use creativity for projects in the class. It was so much fun!

Intermurals are really popular on campus. Tons of sports are offered. The only problem I have with intermurals is that the seasons aren't very long, but I can see how that would be a positive for some students. Football and Rugby are both a big deal on campus. Most of the sports teams are very good and usually win.

Almost every teacher I have had knew and still knows my name. I loved my Philosophy classes and went every day. I participated in a class discussion every day. The students are competitive and their are many intellectual conversations. My teachers spent any time I needed with me outside of class to reach my academic goals.

They make all the freshman live on campus, which is dumb for me, but whatever.

Arkansas State is the best deal for the college education. Top Faculty, New Buildings, Great Campus Life, all for a community college tuition in the north. Also there are tons of opportunities for scholarships, a lot of my friends get paid to go to school at ASU through all the rewards and scholarships available. Going there was the best college choice ever, and there is no question in my mind that I would do it again one hundred times over.

Even thou are sports teams are division 1 dont expect us to beat the top ten schools. We are good but its definitely a growing athletic program. We do a little better each year, and we get on ESPN sometimes but in 20 years I think we will be at the top forizzle.

A lot of my classes should be boring, I am in accounting. So some of them are, but I really like the professors, and the students I am surrounded by. With the exception of some freshman (don't worry they will be gone by the spring semester), everyone is there to learn.

No, when I researched biology programs around the country I found that the place where I could get the best education and the best chance of getting into a prestigious graduate school without breaking the bank was Arkansas State. They have leading faculty, which you actually get to interact with, and great degree programs, all for a very affordable tuition.

Arkansas State University has really impressed me. I came to ASU because of two professors in the music department. Now I could never find a reason not to come to ASU. The Music Program's Wind Ensemble is in the top 100 in the country. The Football Games are ballin' (no pun intended). And through my fraternity i have over one hundred new adopted brothers. I love campus life at ASU. I am growing so much in my field and I really feel like I made the best college choice possible by coming here

Greek Life is really big on the ASU Campus, but I know many people who aren't greek and still fit in with many friends. I met my closest friends through becoming greek, and I would suggest it to anyone. There are tons of clubs and groups, just choose what you like to do and there will be other people who want to do it too. The Student Activities Board plans lots of events for students to participate. There are also plenty of intramural sports. The Fraternity houses have great, under control parties.

International Students are pretty big in number. Multicultural and well mixing are good words to describe the student body.

ASU is a very, very diverse campus. They have a lot of international students from all over the world (a lot of them are on the rugby team lol) and there is a a good mix of Caucasian, African-American, and Asian but Caucasian is the majority. Diversity is really pushed at ASU, all students mix pretty well.

Maybe... well some people, some people don't. I do it to the point were it doesn't affect my grades. Other people let it affect there grades though.

The best thing about ASU to me is all of the extracurricular activities, from Greek Life, to the Neuroscience Club, I can build a package that will look great when applying to graduate schools. If I could change one thing, it would be for ASU to recruit more nationally instead of internationally. Jonesboro, where ASU is located, has the average amount of stuff to do, with a mall, a movie theater, and more than enough restaurants. The faculty at ASU are mostly leaders in there field. The school has a lot of support for their athletic teams, everyone goes out to the football games. My favorite experiences at ASU are all connected to joining the Sorority of Delta Zeta and the lifelong sisterhood connections that I have made through it. At ASU, there are a few locally grown close minded people but they usually don't last long due to academics. For the most part ASU is made up of great people. and a great place for learning.
