What are some stereotypes about
Babson
students?
Before coming to Babson, I heard there was no campus life, that it's all business and no liberal arts, that there's no sports, and that the international students are bitches/assholes. I also heard it was amazingly diverse, an excellent business school, prepares you for the real world, and helps you find a job right after graduating.
Are the stereotypes accurate?
There is plenty of campus life, clubs, events, and parties. It's definately not all business-- it's 50% 50% business and liberal arts. There are plenty of sports and games-- we are especially big on rugby, lacrosse, and basketball. And the international students are the most interesting people you'll ever meet in your life!! Just remember their culture is a little different from yours.
It is true that I have never seen so many diverse people in one place... and I'm from Miami (a lot of diversity..) It's amazing to hear so many different languages from English, Spanish, French, German, Greek, Arabic, Farsi, Mandarin, Japanese, ect. all around campus. Thanks to Babson, I can go to Switzerland, Cyprus, Thailand, Jordan, Ireland, Argentina, Egypt, China, Brazil, and SOOOOO many more and I have a friend there.
It IS an excellent business school. You'll learn more than you have in your life-- and real things that are practical for the real world. And 99.8% of graduating seniors get a job within 6 months of graduating.
