best thing--personal attention in class/your professors know who you are

what i'd change--the core is a little extreme, and i found it unnecessary, but its kind of inevitable that you'll have to take core classes wherever you end up. but i'd cut it if i could

outside reactions--most people are impressed that i go to creighton. i like that it has a reputation of prestige.

time spent?--in the library, out with friends, hanging out in the student center, playing in the dorms, LOTS of extracurriculars, TONS of GREEK LIFE

most controversal topic--the CARE program (sends students who are overly intoxicated with alcohol to the hospital for treatment)--its an interesting program because its very helpful when student's lives or health are in danger, but often times students are sent when they are drunk, but not dangerously drunk. my experience with CARE has been interesting because first one of my roommates was sent to CARE when she was completely fine, just drunk, and she was released within a half hour, and it just created a big hassle for her to deal with and racked up some big hospital bills. my other roommate, though, was so drunk we thought she was going to die, so we took her to CARE, and i honestly believe that it saved her life.

classes are very difficult, but really worth while. students don't skip class here. you can't, your teachers will notice. and you'll fall way behind.

everyone at creighton was one of the "smart kids" in high school, so its interesting to see how personalities fit in together.

i'm very excited about the fact that, within my major, i'm 96% sure that i'll have a job lined up before graduation.

most schools can't boast facts like that.

majority of students are NOT from nebraska.....REALLY good mix of kids. people dress casually to class, but not like a big mess, which i like. everyone looks presentable.

its hard to really know the financial backgrounds of people, but for the most part it seems like kids come from financially stable homes, but not excessively wealthy.

we are semi segregated...the hawaiians really stick together.

the greek community has a strong presence on campus, and i honestly don't know what kind of social life there is without it.

the mall in the center of campus is SO fun bc you always see people you know and wave and say hi. everyone is friendly and happy around here.

volunteering is a major aspect of campus and it seems like almost every student does some form of philanthropy. spring break service trips are very popular.

kids LOVE creighton basketball!! the games are very fun.

GREEK LIFE IS HUGE!! I love it!!! the frats and sororities have a major representation on campus.

i'm not sure what you do if you don't drink.....my friends who abstain from alcohol still go out to all of the same parties i do, so you can still go out and not be pressured to drink and you can still have fun.

fake ids are EXTREMELY popular and almost EVERY underage student that goes out has one. The bars are fun, and the main creighton bar is the jay, which is very close to campus.

dorm life is fun, especially sophomore year because you choose to live around all of your friends.

people think that all creighton kids are no fun and only study all the time.

no. studying is a HUGE part of the Creighton lifestyle, but it is easy to get involved in other activities and to find places to go out to on the weekends. my social life is awesome at creighton, but i feel like i'm getting a great education, too.

the Catholic values are definitely present on campus and i'm not sure if i would have picked Creighton if I wasn't Catholic

The lack of student health services for sexually active students upsets me. I feel like we should have some form of planned parenthood type services, or atleast condoms for sale on campus.
