Overall, I love Davidson. Everyone loves Davidson, even though we complain about the workload sometimes. The small, friendly community that allows us to connect with both our peers and professors is something that I wouldn't trade for the world. The best thing about it is definitely the Honor Code. It's not just a piece of paper that we sign that tells us to try not to cheat on tests. It's a lifestyle that everyone on campus follows in order to maintain a mutual bond of trust between peers,...

School is too small. People usually haven't heard of Davidson. Spend most of my time at the baseball field, at parties, and in my room. Davidson's administration wants to make it as close as possible to a boarding high school.

School pride went through the roof with the success of the Men's Basketball team this spring. For the most part, since it is such a small school, students aren't able to make it to many sporting events other than basketball and football because they are either doing their own thing (i think about 1/3 play and inter-collegiate sport) or because they are doing work. The town is small. Charlotte is nearby, but about a 30 minute drive on a major highway. There is really only 1 or 2 bars that...

Hmmm... The Davidson Family. Everyone at Davidson has each other's backs, no matter what. With such small classes, and such a closely laid out campus, we sort of have to be. It's not a struggle, though, don't get me wrong. It's just that there's no one out to be a jerk, and everyone takes on every day with the best of intentions. My high school had 220 people in it, and i feel like Davidson, with it's student body of 1,700 is just as close. Theft is unheard of, as is cheating. It's not that...

Davidson is unique in that students can obtain an elite liberal arts education while supporting and/or competing on big-time Division I athletic teams. When I decided to go to Davidson during my senior year of high school, most of my friends and teachers had never heard of it. But, over the last few years, Davidson's notoriety has grown due to the success of our basketball team as well as the press we received when Newsweek hailed Davidson as one of "the New Ivies." People no longer shoot me...

Class Year: Freshman
Davidson is a great place. I debated about coming here because of the distance and also the size of the school. However, the school can be as big or small as you want it to be depending on whether or not you get involved, and the smallness of the school is definitely an advantage in my opinion. For example, how many other colleges would send their student body to the NCAA tournament sweet sixteen and elite eight rounds for free? The small number of students makes for a really unique experience....

Class Year: Sophomore
Davidson is situated in a wonderful little town that supports the college in many ways. The Davidson townspeople will come to basketball games, trick-or-treat down the residence halls, hang signs rooting for the Wildcats from their houses, and are generally very welcoming to students. Davidson College is just down the highway from any restaurant or store you can imagine (Target, Walmart, fast food, mall, etc.) The size of the student body is great. I tend to recognize most people I pass on a...

The best thing about Davidson is that you could drop your credit card in the middle of the Student Union and somehow it would make it back to your room, on your pillow, with a little chocolate next to it. All in all, I love how homey the whole campus is, even during a gross rainy day/

Class Year: Freshman
The best thing about Davidson is the sense of community you feel when you walk around the school. It's safe and small- I have never felt threatened walking around late at night. It's also really nice to see people you recognize every single day, whether you know their names or not. At a big university, you are so much less likfely to run into someone you know when walking to or from class, or standin in line in the cafeteria, but here it's acompletely different story, and that helps to make...

Class Year: Freshman
Davidson is the perfect college for me. I love the small size and being able to know most people that you pass when walking around campus. The town is nice and small but we are close to Charlotte which is a huge plus. There is obviously alot of school pride after the success of the Basketball team. Now when I say I go to Davidson, people say "oh that's a great school" or something about the basketball team and how they were pulling for the small school to win. The only thing I would want to...
