What are some stereotypes about Loyola students?

Preppy, white, mainly girls, the only guys that go to the school are gay

Except for the few rogue students, overall its true

Loyola: The Big Picture

Loyola is just the right size for a student that doesn't want to be lost in a crowd but also doesn't want to know every single person in the school. The administration only listens to the students when it wants to, but overall they do keep us safe and do give us quite a few amenities. Their club sports are really strong even though the money and the field space they give us doesn't reflect that. Loyola is the type of school that needs proactive students because since we do not have a lot of team spirit, students really need to go looking for friends. Friends don't find them.

Loyola Academic Life

Since I am in a small program, all of the professors know my name. Most programs are at least minimally like that as well. Students are competitive but just with themselves, there is not an overall school rivalry to get ahead. Most of the classes are geared toward getting a job, but there are quite a few classes, if a student wishes to take them, that are just based around learning for its own sake.

The computer science department, although lacking in the networking major, is overall a great department. It is small, but that is helpful because students get direct contact with their professors and can do research projects as collaborators with them.
