MTSU Pre-Medical Major

The best thing about MTSU is the quality of faculty and staff that serves the student body. It is on eof the best in the state. Also the old Buldings like KOM, the beatiful trees, the nature and location of the campus is outstanding. The thisng that I would first cahnege is the science building. It is not upto the required standard. I would build a large science bulding that will stand out as a big attraction to Tenneessee high school graduate as the best colleg for sciences. Also Why not bult a Medical school? Pre med students have a rough time trying to apply to other medical colleges. If we had one here then many students would definately hopt to take pre professional courses.
Whenever I tell people that I am in MTSU, they ussually ask me Where it is located, and what I am majoring in. The next obvious question that follows is, What is the capacity of students?
I spend most of muy time in the Library and the Track since I run Track and cross country. Studying in the Linbrary is really enriching.
The admistartion in MTSU is good, since all the activities synchronize well. Right from admission, extarcurricular activities to graduation.
The bigggest controvercy so far in MTSU is parking, the overpriced book at the book store and the extension of the day to bult the New science building.
At Mtsu there is a lot of school pride, when I come uot of a class and all I see is a grop of students dressed in blue, it trigger in me the pride of being a blue raider memebr.
I will always remember MTSU for it greatness in the Academic and athletic superiority

All of the proffessors I had knew my names and even where I come from. My favorite class was Eng 1020 by Dr T. Wilt. At MTSU students work hard to get the grades the good grades, no one is ready to settle for a lower grade. Class participation is always common especially in the Honor classes.
Academics in MTSU is not only class based, many students look for jobs in their area of their studies in order for them to sharpen their skills. This make the students to be more copetetive in terms of Job market due to their experinece. The academic requiremets in MTSU are very adequate and meet the standards of many employers.

It is ineteresting that MTSU treats all students equal regardless of their race, relion, socio econimoc etc. No student will fill out of palce in MTSU unless the student decide to misplace him or herself.
Most students wear blue clothers ranging from T shirts to jeans. Spring and early summer is the best month to Go BLUE. Students from different countries and races interact especially during class discussions or presentation. At the dining hall one table always go to the football palyer, the other to the students who like showing off and then the other two is split between the cool guys and international students. You will never know ones background, the fact that drive a fansy car and wear expensive jeans does not give them any credit to be rich or poor. We all belong to one class: the class of students. Students ar not very much into politics, that can even be seen when they are voting for the student leaders. Despite the school having a large number of students, there is a very low voter tun out. I think most of the students are neutral politically.
Students are more aware of how much they earn, even some international students talk about moeney.

The Academic groups are most popular and effective. The fratanities and sororities take a huge number of students as well. I am involede in the TLSAMP group- summer research and attending talks is the main focus. Most students lock their door, ut I do not mind leaving mine open when I can't find the Key. I have never had anything stolen. It is safe on campus. The atheletic events are popular only when MT is facing a challenge from touch colleges. That is when the stadium fills. I have observed that gust speakers lectures are well attended to when a professor uses it as an Extra Credit. To mee t a close friend I can inivet her into my apartment where we will cook, chat, talk about our academic life. Ocassionally we go out to eat,But not that often.
If I would be awake on tuesday at 2am then I will be studying for an exam,or writing up a paper.
July 4th is always fun at MTSU. The fire works!! Independence day. Last weekend I run a mile in 4.19. It was the best day . I ahd my PR.
Thai weekend I will cook and invite my friend over then we can chat and talk about running, academics, social life and the political turmoils in Kenya
