This really depends on the class. I've had horrible teachers that wouldn't answer questions and failed a lot of people, I've had easy A classes where the midterm and final were given to you by the professor a week ahead of time so that you could memorize the answers by next week, and I've had professors that genuinely care and try to help you learn to the best of their abilities. Overall, the academics here are hit or miss. You might love your classes, you might hate them. Good luck.

This school is pricey, I will agree to that, but overall it is a great school. It's a small community of students with great teachers. Teachers who want to see ALL their students succeed not only in their class but in the rest of their life as well.

In closing, I would advise anyone to stay far, far away from this school. I wasted a year and $40k here. For nothing. Barely any of my credits transferred, and I'll paying off the debt from this awful institution for some time. I cannot stress enough, stay FAR away.

Honestly, all colleges have their problems. Yes, parking was beastly this past year, probably more so at UNH then any other college I know of, but I am sure there is not one university that doesn't have a parking issue. There was also a huge increase of the freshman class and UNH did not prepare that well for it in the sense that the dining halls were always beyond crowded and at social events they would run out of things, but I think they are aware of that and this summer are working to better accommodate everyone. No college will ever be perfect but it might be the perfect fit for you. When you survey the problems with UNH like, not enough parking and too many students but not enough accommodations, it is so small compared to the experience one gains from attending the University of New Haven. I am definitely proud to say that UNH is my Alma Mater.

I never find myself bored on campus. I believe that the more you become involved on campus, the more people you will meet. Also, the more involved you are, the more likely you will enjoy your time here on campus. We are close enough to downtoen New Haven, which has shops and restaurants to go to. Also, the mall is about a 10 to 15 minute drive away, where students usually go to shop or to see a movie.

There are many prevalent clubs and organizations on the UNH campus. There are clubs for majors, drama clubs, sports clubs, video game clubs, you name it. There is also Greek life on campus. If you visit any of the residential buildings you will always see a group hanging out or studying in the common rooms. Someone's door will be open and you can see roommates working diligently on homework. During the weekends our activities program SCOPE runs all types of events for the students to partake in. We have had comedians, magicians, bands come and they even made a parking lot into an ice skating rink! The Office of Residential Life also offers each student a UPASS to ride the city bus free. There is so much to do on Boston Post Road and the bus takes you straight to the Westfield Mall as well. There is also a shuttle for students to take to Downtown New Haven where you can go shop or eat dinner or even see a movie. You are never bored on the weekends because there is so much to do.

There is always something going on around campus at UNH. As a student, I receive close to 30 emails a day about the events and activities that are going on around campus. We have comedians, hypnotists, and other performers each month. We also have a Spring Concert and Spring Carnival each year. With a wide variety of clubs and organizations, it is very easy to get involved on campus as well. We have many major-related clubs, such as the Forensic Science and Chemistry Club, MEISA (music), and the Fire Science Club (just to name a few), but you do not have to involved in that major to participate in these clubs. We also have other interest-related clubs, like the Surf, Ski, and Snowboard Club.

The big picture? Yeah, it's an expensive school, I'll agree with that, but it's also a very good school. Most of the teachers are top quality in their field of study and work hard so that the students understand material. The campus is small and family orientated, helping to make the students feel more welcome and at home. Yes, there is crime, but every where you go there is. UNH has a 24 hour on campus police station, with actual cops, not security guards.

The student body is relatively small compared to state schools that have hundreds of thousands of students. The student body hear is roughly 7000 undergraduates. Students feel can feel safe in this family oriented community. We have many clubs that ANYONE can join and be a part of. Some clubs are new so may be small but are in no way insignificant. We do have religious clubs and LGBT clubs, and if we don't have a club that you are looking for, you can make it! Many students start clubs themselves. Find other students interested in your ideas and petition with the USGA (Undergraduate Student Government Association) for the club to be recognized. All the students interact with one another and many clubs join together to sponsor events on campus, such as concerts, comedians, hypnotist and others.

Academic Life at UNH is great. The classes are a nice size so it makes it easier for the teachers to get to know their students on a more personal level. I am not sure about the class sizes for the incoming freshman because I know that UNH has increased its enrollment, but in my case, I had smaller classes and it was nice to get the one on one time. It is also great that UNH prepares their students for the real world. They are big on experiential learning so the students have the opportunity to get out in the field and really experience what they study in the classroom.

As a criminal jsutice major, I am very pleased with this school and the experiences that come with it. All of my professors are very involved with their students, so I know that I am receiving the best education. Also, my professors are some of the greatest criminalists out there, so I know that they can teach not only from a lesson plan, but from real life experiences as well.

The social life on campus is awesome! I transferred into UNH as a junior, so coming from a very small college that did not have any student activities, it was a real surprise. There is always something to do on campus whether it be a movie in the Alumni Lounge or a trip to the local amusement park. Student Activities really offers some great trips and events that are typically free or at a very low price. I do not think I ever paid more then $10 for anything I participated in on campus. There is just always something going on and I love that about UNH. I was never bored!

Not many good clubs to speak of. There was a decent radio station. I honestly made no friends at UNH that I speak to today. I say that as a friendly and moderately outgoing person. People form their cliques and thats that. Most people hopped on the bus to New Haven to go to clubs and get wasted. That was pretty much the social life at UNH.
