What's this?
Valparaiso University is a little Lutheran college where students gain an education as well as a grasp on their higher purpose in life.
Valpo’s small student body enjoys intimate class settings and first years start off with a two-semester core class to explore and expand their personal and spiritual lives. The students are tight knit due to the policy that requires all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors to live on campus. For extracurricular activities, most Valpo students join religious associations, intramural sports, or a Greek house. With 30 percent of the undergrad population involved in a fraternity or sorority, the Greek community has a significant presence on campus. The town of Valparaiso is small and has historic appeal, and though there may not be much to do around town, students can skip campus for Lake Michigan and the Indiana dunes for excursions in the great outdoors or head to Chicago for a night out in the big city.
