WPI: The Big Picture
WPI is a great school to have graduated from if you want a good job with a good salary. It is not a great school to attend because half the professors do not speak English, the work is damn near impossible, you have to complete rediculous projects to graduate and the girl to guy ratio only hurts both parties. Guys become desperate and girls get used to being spoiled by tons of guys so they become bitchy. If you want a real party school don't go to umass go to WPI because their parties aren't just 20 people drinking in an apartment instead the parties are 500 people dancing like in a club.
WPI Academic Life
Wpi is damn near impossible with the amount of work that is given. With 4 terms of 7 weeks each classes are over before you know it. However when you fail a class (getting below 70%) it does not hurt your gpa. There are however projects that need to be completed before you can graduate which can really screw you over.
WPI's Student Body
most of the students at WPI were huge nerds in high school and thus have no social skills beyound debating which flavor or moxie is best, or who is the best at dungeons and dragons. However there is a large group of athletes who were small town superstars who just weren't good enought for d1 or d2 schools but still think they are the shit because they play college football/basketball. Also because of the low number of girls and high number of guys, those girls in high school who were not real pretty but not too ugly are now treated like goddeses and end up sleeping around a lot and thus they get the idea that they don't have to be nice to get guys anymore so they become bitchy.
WPI Student Activities + Social Life
like at any college there are more clubs than students to fill them so anything you could want from lacrosse to disk golf to mideval wannabes its All available to you. The one redeaming social aspect to wpi is its non- steriotypical Greek life. Members of fraternities are not the party and drink all the time frat boys of the movies but rather they are active members of the community.
WPI Naked Truth
Wpi teachers for the most part suck. Half can't speak English and even those who can only really care about research and not about teaching.
