Costs, time required to participate in frat or sorority events, will there be hazing, what really takes place on hell night. Ask a big brother/sister to explain as many of the pros & cons as possible.

The only thing to consider is why are you doing it? It is just like joining a gang, a choir, a play group or any other group are you joining it because you need to be identified with a group to feel like someone? Are you joining for another relevant reason, like your parent is a member of the group? Whatever you do before you make your decision understand why you are doing so and if it is not because you have independently decided that the values and beliefs of this group align with your own then think seriously about making your choice.
