What should students know about studying abroad in the UK?

Be prepared to experience a different culture. Just because you speak the language does not mean that you won't have cultural adaptations to make. However, that is the point of going abroad to study! Use your time wisely and explore the country. Be prepared for expenses to be higher than they are in the U.S. Try to make living arrangements before you arrive as some universities do not have on-campus housing. Campus life is quite different from the U.S. experience so be flexible. Remember that attending university in the city will be much more expensive than living further away from London. And, have fun!
