What the students are saying about:

Pitzer College

Pitzer College

Pitzer is a small liberal arts school in sunny California filled with students who are “very socially and politically aware; we are always assessing the events of life with a critical eye.” Political discussions are extremely common, as is any intellectual topic that sparks debate. Students say it’s normal to find large groups of people having deep philosophical conversations at any time (while also taking advantage of the weather and sunbathing by the pool.) That said, don’t expect to find Republicans here – students at this campus veer “hard left”, and some say they have yet to encounter a legitimately conservative student at Pitzer. Students also put their money where their mouth is when it comes to taking action: “Students are absolutely socially conscious, and spend their time pursuing an endless number of community service and awareness-building activities. If you come to Pitzer, be prepared to flyer, to protest, to volunteer, to live the life other students just read or talk about. At Pitzer, politics are for real.”
