Brian & Cathy Smith Memorial Fund Scholarship

This scholarship is open to music therapy interns pursuing training in chemical dependency or in adolescent programs. Students must be members of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) in both the year in which application is made and the year in which the award is granted, and must attend an AMTA-approved institution.

Edwina Eustis Dick Scholarship for Music Interns

This scholarship is for students who are currently doing a music therapy internship. Students must be members of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) in both the year in which application is made and the year in which the award is granted, and must attend an AMTA-approved institution.

E. Thayer Gaston Research Competition

This research competition is open to undergraduate students studying music therapy at an institution approved by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA). Students must be members in good standing of the AMTA both at the time of application and the time of award.

Augsburg College Legacy Award

This award is available to U.S. undergraduate students who are planning to attend Augsburg College in Minnesota. Students must be the child, spouse of an Augsburg College alumni or the sibling of a current Augsburg College student. Children and spouses of current Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) pastors are also eligible.

Augsburg College President’s Scholarship

This award is for U.S. high school seniors who are planning to attend Augsburg College in Minnesota and participate in its Honors Program. The student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and either an SAT score (reading/math) of 1210 or higher or an ACT score of 27 or higher.

NFMC/Irma Carey Wilson Music Therapy Award

This award is available for currently enrolled U.S. college sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students. Students must be pursuing a degree in music therapy or interning for music therapy, and must attend a school accredited by the American Music Therapy Association.
