Tom and Roberta Drewes Scholarship

U.S. or Canadian citizens/permanent residents who will have completed no more than 12 hours towards an MLS/MLIS/MIS degree prior to June 1 of the award year are eligible for this award. Students must attend an ALA-accredited library school, be studying in the area of library and information studies, and be currently working as part of a library support staff.

NYLA Dewey Scholarship Award

This scholarship is available for U.S. students pursuing a master’s degree in library science at one of the ALA-accredited schools located in New York state. Students must have a grade point average of ‘B’ (3.0) or higher. Both the student and the library school must be members of the New York Library Association.

R. Marlin Smith-Babcock-Williams Student Writing Competition for Planning Students

This writing competition is open to U.S. graduate students pursuing a career in planning. The applicant must attend a school listed in the ‘Guide to Graduate Education in Urban and Regional Planning.’

UJA- Federation of New York Rose Biller Scholarship Program

Spectrum Scholarship

U.S. and Canadian citizens or permanent residents who are pursuing a graduate degree in library and information science at an ALA-accredited school are eligible for this award. Students must be minorities.

Christopher J. Hoy/ERT Scholarship

U.S. or Canadian citizens/permanent residents who are enrolled in a school with an ALA-accredited master’s degree program in library science are eligible for this award. Students must have earned no more than 12 semester hours prior to June 1 of the year the scholarship is awarded.

David H. Clift Scholarship

U.S. or Canadian citizens/permanent residents who are enrolled at a school with an ALA-accredited master’s degree program in library science are eligible for this award. Students must have no more than 12 semester hours prior to June 1 of the year in which the scholarship is awarded.

ALA Century Scholarship

Current undergraduate U.S. or Canadian citizens who have disabilities are eligible for this award. Students must pursue a master’s degree in library science at an ALA-accredited institution. The ALA provides more than $300,000 annually for study in a master’s degree in library and information studies from an ALA accredited program.

AIA/F Diversity Advancement Scholarship

High school seniors, current college freshmen, and community/technical college graduates who will enroll in an NAAB-accredited architecture program are eligible for this award. Students must be minorities and/or financially disadvantaged.
