Samuel Griffin Seawell and Patsy Moore Seawell Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is open to students who are pursuing post-graduate degrees (i.e., master’s and doctoral degrees or professional artist certificates) in a music- or arts-related discipline at a Piedmont Triad area (NC) institution. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate financial need.

Salem Lodge #139/Robert A. Miller Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is open to African-American high school seniors who attend Forsyth County (NC) high schools and plan to attend a Historically Black College/University (HBCU). Students must have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher and demonstrate financial need; merit and need are equally weighted.

Alice Conger Patterson Scholarship

This scholarship is open to women who are 23 years of age or older and attend or plan to attend select NC institutions. Students must have a grade point average of 2.6 or higher, pursue a liberal arts degree, and demonstrate financial need.

Albert Morgan, Jr. and Olivia E. Morgan Scholarship

This scholarship is open to high school seniors who attend a Forsyth County (NC) high school and plan to attend an HBCU to major in education or hospitality. Students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and demonstrate financial need.

L. Gordon, Jr. and June D. Pfefferkorn Scholarship

This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors who attend Forsyth County (NC) high schools and plan to attend an accredited four-year North Carolina college/university. Students must have an unweighted grade point average of 3.5 or higher and demonstrate some financial need.

James M. & Erma T. Freemont Foundation Scholarship Program – Undergraduate Students

This scholarship is open to U.S. students who are enrolled at an HBCU (Historically Black College/University) pursuing an undergraduate degree in the sciences with the intention of pursuing that discipline as a career. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

James M. & Erma T. Freemont Foundation Scholarship Program – High School Seniors

This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors who plan to attend an HBCU (Historically Black College/University) and have a career in the sciences. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and an ACT score of 21 or higher or an SAT score of 1150 or higher.

Golden LEAF Scholars Program

This scholarship is open to high school seniors and community college transfer students who reside in qualifying North Carolina counties and plan to attend a participating four-year North Carolina institution. All applicants must demonstrate financial need; grade point average will also be considered in the selection process.

Orthopaedic Specialists of the Carolinas Nursing Scholarship

This scholarship is open to residents of Forsyth County, NC, who have been accepted into the nursing program at Forsyth Technical Community College or Winston-Salem State University. Students must demonstrate financial need, and must have a grade point average of 2.6 or higher if currently enrolled in college or 3.0 or higher if a high school senior.

Keisha M. Michael Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is open to African-American high school seniors who reside in New Castle County, Delaware, and have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Students must plan to attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU); community and church service will be considered in selection.
