Ted Hanekamp Scholarship

In 2006, Ted was inducted into the University of Kentucky College Public Health Hall of Fame and also very active in the Kentucky Public Health Association (KPHA). This scholarship will be administered by KPHA and the amount will be based upon funds raised by KPHA and matched by UKCPH not to exceed $10,000 each calendar year.

Drezner Family Scholarship

The Drezner Scholarship is available for second-year students at Monterey Peninsula College and Hartnell College. Erin Aaberg Givans Memorial Scholarship

The Erin Aaberg Givans Memorial Scholarship is available for female graduate students who are majoring in a degree related to public administration, healthcare administration, or healthcare policy. Applicants must attend a college or university in California and must plan to pursue a related career within the state.

Arkansas Public Health Association Scholarship for High School Seniors

This award is available for high school seniors in Arkansas who plan to major in a field related to public health. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate unmet financial need. Applicants must become a student member of the state APHA organization (student memberships are $5) to be eligible.

Connie Scheffer Public Health Endowed Scholarship

U.S. nursing students who are residents of Kansas and attend a college or university in Kansas are eligible. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Registered nurses pursuing a bachelor’s of science in the public health setting; graduate and postgraduate students in public health nursing or public health are considered.

CANFit Undergraduate Scholarship

This award is available for minority students who are currently enrolled in a fitness or nutrition program at an accredited California college or university. The applicant must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and have completed at least 50 credit hours toward his/her degree at the time of application.

NEHA/AAS Scholarship

This award is for U.S. students majoring in environmental health who are enrolled in an approved college/university that is accredited by the Environmental Health Accreditation Council or is a NEHA Educational or Sustaining Member School.
