Amber Grant

The Amber Grants began in 1998. Launched by WomensNet it honors the memory of a young woman, Amber Wigdahl, who died at the age of 19 – unable to fulfill her entrepreneurial dreams. In 2020, the Amber Grant has been doubled to $4,000. Earn any Amber Grant through November, 2020, and you’ll be eligible for an additional $25,000 grant at the end of this year.

Business Plan Scholarship

The University Network (TUN) aims to make it simple for students and employers to find each other for internships, part-time jobs, or even short-term projects. Each year they offer this $1000 scholarship aims to encourage thoughtful entrepreneurship, and get young people thinking about how to create a realistic business plan that could become a major project for them to realize.

Thiel fellowship

The Thiel Fellowship gives $100,000 to young people who want to build new things instead of sitting in a classroom. You can apply to the Fellowship while in school but if selected, you’ll need to drop out to accept the Fellowship. Fellows receive $100,000, spread out over two years. The foundation does not take equity in your company.
