This scholarship is available for undergraduate students who are planning to study abroad. Funds may be used for travel, living expenses, or the costs of tuition for an accredited study abroad program. An essay of up to 250 words on the topic listed on the site. Owner Direct Vacation Rentals Study Away Scholarship
This scholarship is available for U.S. and Canadian students who submit an essay of 600 to 800 words on the importance of travel and studying abroad.
University of Oregon Stamps Leadership Scholarship
This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors plannign to attend the University of Oregon. Students must have a grade point average of 3.85 or higher and exemplify leadership, perseverance, service, and innovation. Funds can also be used for studying abroad.
Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship
This scholarship is available for U.S. undergraduate students who plan to study or intern abroad in the same country for at least four weeks; the country cannot be Cuba or on the U.S. State Department’s Travel Warning list. Students must be receiving or will receive a federal Pell Grant.
Dell Scholars Program
This award is for U.S. high school seniors who have a grade point average of 2.4 or higher and demonstrated financial need (e.g., Pell Grant eligible). Students must have participated in an eligible college readiness program during their junior and senior years of high school. Funds can be used for study abroad.
Boren Scholarship Awards for International Study
This award is available to U.S high school graduates and undergraduate students who are planning to pursue a study abroad program. Scholarships are awarded with preference for countries, languages, and fields of study critical to U.S. national security.
University of Arizona National Scholars Award for Arizona Residents
U.S. students who are Arizona residents and National Merit Finalists are eligible for this award. Students must declare the University of Arizona as their first choice.
