In 1939, fifteen educators pooled together all their money – just $78.75 – to start a credit union for teachers. To honor the legacy of our founding, we offer the Desert Financial Foundation Adult Learners Scholarship to members ages 25 or older. In 2024, 30 applicants will be selected to receive $3,000 each in scholarship funds, to be distributed directly to the Arizona-based college, university or professional certification program of their choice.

La Unidad Latina Mpowering DACA Students Scholarship Program
This award is available for DACA-eligible students who have completed at least two years in an undergraduate program or are currently enrolled in a graduate program at one of MPOWER’s partner universities. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher.
La Unidad Latina Mpowering Estudiantes Latinoamericanos Scholarship
This award is available for Latin American citizens who have completed at least two years in an undergraduate program or are currently enrolled in a graduate program at one of MPOWER’s partner universities. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher.
MPOWER Financing’s Global Citizen Scholarship
This scholarship is available for international students who are currently enrolled in an MPOWER partner college or university within the United States. To apply, students must complete an online application and submit an essay of up to 1,000 characters in length.
Citizens Bank Undergraduate Scholarship
The Citizens Bank Undergraduate Scholarship is open only to those legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are seventeen (17) years of age or older at the time of application and who will be enrolled as an undergraduate in accredited post-secondary institution of higher learning for the current and upcoming school year.
