Marine Corps Essay Contest This essay contest is open to any U.S. citizen who submits an essay of 3,000 words or less. Check the USNI website for exact essay topic each year.
Voice of Democracy Scholarship Program U.S. high school students in grades nine through twelve who are 19 years of age or younger are eligible for this scholarship. To apply, the applicant must write an essay on the theme listed on the Veterans of Foreign Wars website and record the reading of that essay; submit both essay and CD/flash drive to be considered for this scholarship.
General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant This award is available for U.S. high school seniors or older students planning to enroll full time in an undergraduate program of study. Students must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher and be the son, daughter, spouse, or surviving spouse of an Air Force member. Learn more and apply today!
AR Military Dependents Scholarship Program This award is available to Arkansas resident undergraduate students who are attending an Arkansas state-supported college or university. Students must be the natural child, adopted child, or spouse of an Arkansas resident who is/was one of the following: a prisoner of war, missing in action, killed in action, killed on ordnance delivery, or disabled during the course or result of active military duty after Jan. 1, 1960.
MDVA Surviving Spouse/Dependent Education Benefit This scholarship is available for Minnesota undergraduate students who are the children of a veteran who died on active duty or as a result of a service-connected condition. Students must attend a Minnesota college or university.
Military: Honorably Discharged, Separated or Retired Veterans Who Move to Texas Waiver This award is available to former members of the U.S. Armed Forces or former commissioned officers of the U.S. Public Health Service who are retired or have been honorably discharged. The student must have enrolled in a Texas public college or university for any term or semester at a state institution of higher education that begins before the first anniversary of the member’s separation.
Maine Veterans Dependents Educational Benefits Program This award is offered to current undergraduate and graduate students who are Maine residents and attending state-supported schools. Students must be the child, stepchild, spouse, widow or widower of a military veteran who is/has been deceased, disabled, MIA, or a POW while serving in the line of duty, and must be 16-25 years old with certain exceptions (there is no age requirement for spouses).
Columbia College of Missouri Veteran’s Grant This award is for U.S. students who are currently enrolled at or planning to attend Columbia College of Missouri. The student must be former U.S. military personnel.
Exemption for Texas Veterans (Hazlewood Exemption) This award is available to honorably discharged or separated Texas veterans and to eligible dependent children and spouses of Texas veterans who are planning to attend a public Texas college or university.
NY Veterans Tuition Award This award is available to U.S. students who are veterans of the armed forces of the United States who served in hostilities that occurred after February 28, 1961. Students must be studying in an approved program at an undergraduate or graduate degree-granting institution or in an approved vocational training program in New York State.
