What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Allows view the campus before selecting, always ask current students of their opinion of the school and why they feel that way, make sure the school meets your comfort level (whether it be small classes or well lit streets), and most importantly make sure your credits will transfer it the school does not meet your standards.

What's unique about your campus?

The Agriculture and Forestery program because they provide you with lots of scholorships and paid internships and its overall the funniest departement to be in. Everyone is really friendly and they make sure all there students are well taken care of.

I would tell parents as well as students to first look at location. An in state school may be the best choice, even if one wants to get away from home. It is surprising how only 100 to 150 miles seems like forever. Prices are also big make sure it is a school that will help with finances, and that will not be too expensive to afford.

What kind of person should not attend this school?

No one. Eveyone one deserves an equal oppurtunity.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

The right college is always the one you don't want to go to. If you're planning on becoming an effective citizen go to the school where you get a complete molding. Harvard is a great academic school, but may not prepare you for the world as a citizen the best as a Public school could. Public schools, show every fashion of people in their worst and their best forms. The world we live in is not full of rich scholars, and honestly all colleges use the same books. The workload is just more than others at certain places.

What kind of person should not attend this school?

A person only coming to school to have fun and party should not come to this school. You will definitely get sucked into a mold of what is cool, and will flunk out

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

During the financial aid period, nothing is ever done in a timely manner. Classes always start and most students are not able to receive their refunds before that period to purchase books.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Parents when searching for the right college for your children, you should look for a campus that offers values that you have instilled in your child, of course location would be a factor but you need to look at the student teacher ratio in class. This will intel if your child will be able to get the proper instruction you desire for him or her. Also if finances are a issue, you want to look at a college that offers various types of financial aid.

What's unique about your campus?

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would tell them to make sure that's the right choice they want to make within their life. I would also tell them to visit the school's campus from time to time, in order to see where things are. Check on their registration and financial aid services for any additional information. Make sure that the school's information is accurate.

What's unique about your campus?

The best thing about my school is the classes. They are diverse and you could learn a lot from the professors and already experienced students.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

I tell the about the many buildings on campus. I usually discuss with them how it's so much like city life in New York or Los Angeles. I also talk about the many events we have on campus and I tell them about the many challenging courses offered.

Describe your favorite campus traditions.

My shool is best known for being and HBCU. Our founder William Hooper Councill founded this school with the intentions of educating a race of people who been discriminated against for over two hundred years. He made great advancements for the African American race and our campus houses the State Black Archives.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Visit the college and get to know the people and atmosphere around the campus. Don't send your child somewhere you would not go.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The worst thing about our school is that there are so many buildings that are not being used and there is no logical explanation as to why. This year the housing office did not have enough space for all the people who wanted to live in the dorms, but there are two female dorms that have not been used since before I enrolled here. The worst thing about it is that the buildings are not pleasing to the eye.

Describe the students at your school.

Classmates are usually very willing to help each other and look forward to group assignments because group efforts seem to bring about better results for the majority of the class.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Find out what type environment may suit the student best. Academics are not everything. You do not want your child going to a highly academic school where he or she does not fit in because their grades usually reflect the student's environment. The student must feel comfortable enough to blend in and mingle well with the students without grades decreasing. However, they should not feel so comfortable that they totally forget about schoolwork. College is all about what you make of it. Some schools may have state of the art facilities with professors that do not care about the students' progress. Students can take advantage of the resources provided by the facilities to make the most of their academics and entire college experience. Encourage the student do join clubs and organizations that enhance his or her skills because that start could be the foundation needed for that student's success and enjoyment of college.

What kind of person should not attend this school?

People who are just not ready for college at all should not attend.
