My school is best known for the diversit in it's students. There are numerous types of individuals that come here from different backgrounds and cultures. They also come from different walks of life and types of economic classes. It is so great that my school is one that can accept and promote such differences and are accomodating to different learning styles as well as different wants in their life and careers. My school is best known for a large variety in ethnic and very foreign cultures! It's incredibly enlightening to work together with people of all different backgrounds, and to be exposed to ideas that have never crossed the path of my thought process before. American River College, (being a junior college) is a path wise to take. Transfering with a sprawl of fantastic studies before entering the "big leagues" puts most graduates at a large advantage!

American River College is best known for its diversity. It is has the largest population for a community college in Sacramento, and most students commute to ARC for that specific purpose. American River offers so many different opportunities to its students, therefore, it is easy to test the waters with different interests. One could surely find their niche at American River College.

American River College is best known for its diversity of students and the extracurricular clubs that they offer. There are many clubs that participate in a multicultural week and they share with you their culture and food. They also have great student aids to help with homework and many other issues you may have in our Learning Resource Center. They give you access to computers to type essays, offer tutoring, ESL and Writing and Reading programs. They even have a program to show you how to best outline notes and lectures and how to study for a test.

My school is know for helping undergraduate first year college students get through their General Education courses and then going on to transfer to a 4-year University based on their choice of major.

I would think that since it is a community college it's best known for its fair prices for people wanting to further their education or career. I drive further to get to it than some of the other schools near me because the classes don't fill up too quick. and a lot of things can be done online. Some other community colleges in the area don't have as smooth of an online experience and the classes are always full. ARC has flexibility of classes, prices and online layout.
