People with the flexability to take classes as they come or people who are "brushing up". First time students might also be a good fit as there are typically a lot more "core" classes availible than the more specialized degree specific classes.
Any student who has goals to their future. The want to get ready and sucess. A student must work hard and attend in school in order to sucess.
Oh it doesn't matter everyone goes there so many different people go.
A motivated person. Someone that is trying to make a future for themselves.
People living in or around Sacramento who want to improve their skills for the work force
The type of person who should attend American River College is anyone who wants a higher education my professors seem smart and capable teachers and enjoy most my class's and learn somthing new each day.
It is a very good school educationally. Anyone who wants to get their college career started for transfer into a four year college, or someone that wants to train for specific certificates would do well going here. Majority of the students take their education seriously so someone that may not be ready for school may not want to come here - it is not a party school.
The type of person that should attend school are peoplw who believe they can further their life and opportunities to better not only themselves, but also everyone around them. School is not a place for slackers who want to go because everyone else is goin, its for people who are serious about their education and want to have a career. I believe everyone should attempt to attend school, but if you cannot make it happen as it should, school is no place for you. Its a place for serious students who have a good aspiration to further stimulate their mind.
Someone looking to further there career.
Anyone would be a good candidate for this school. They allowed me to attend and take classes, even though I did not recieve my diploma when i left high school. I was afraid this fact would hold me back from reaching my educational goals, but I have been attending for three years and am able to get my Associates degree in two fields this spring.
Almost any kind of person would benefit from going to my schoool. People with an idea of what they want to do with their life would benefit the most and even people lost or struggling with their future could find a certain focus by attending lectures and associating with other students going through the same thing. The kind of person who can show up on time and not rush home when class is over, someone who wants to dive into the entire experience ARC has to offer would improve their lives now in the present and opportunities for their future.
Somebody that is self motivated with good work ethic.
Honestly...A person who is dedicated to learning and knowing that college IS a stepping stone to something greater. One willing to work smart...and hard toward their academic goals. One creating their own destiny for success. ARC has some great tools in place in Support Services as well. Especially the Re-Entry Center and DSPS.
