The worst part about my school is how close it is to the high school. The transition must seem so easy at first to so many students, but half of the students in my Early Childhood Education class stopped coming or dropped out before the deadline because they thought this class would be like the ones they took in high school and they simply were not prepared. It takes dedication, passion, and intelligence to pass college courses.

The worst thing about my school is how the counseling department deal with students. There are times I have entered in the counseling center and the counselors are so rude, like they do not enjoy their job or life. The counselors theirselves when having an appointment with them, they are very welcoming and they have guided me the right way everytime; however, the way they act when first entering the department they are very rude.

The worst thing about my school would have to be the fact that it interupts my work hours. I moved out and was on my own since before I graduated high school and I had two jobs. I ended up only needing my full-time office job, so I quit my part-time job. During summer, I worked full time and got a raise, but there is no way for me to have classes without interfering with my work schedule. Also, it's difficult to find time for homework given my hectic schedule.

the bathrooms are very dirty.

In the past few years, they have cut so many classes at this school that it is nearly impossible to get the courses you need. The deans from two of the departments I dealt with (Fine and Applied Arts and Business and Computer Science) are not responsive. The administration at this school will give you the run around and the counselors here tell you conflicting things about class requirements and transfer requirements - it's up to you to do your own research.

The worst thing about my college is that they don't have a desginated area for smokers. I feel that they should ban it from the school buildings and move it farther out to like the parking lot. It's annoying that I have walk around campus to have to smell all that smoke. It's disgusting and unhealthy and I would very much enjoy a no smoking allowed college to be able to attend.

Since i been at my school for only three weeks now, I would say that I can not get a job on campus because I'm not a full not student.

The worst thing about school is motivating yourself to study. I would rather have fun than study, but I realized that school will pay off in the future even though it might take a lot of my time. Studying for classes are a head-ache, but you will feel accomplished when you understand the subject or assignment.

The only main complaint I have is same issue thats all over the rest of the sate. The school is way too over crowded due to several four year colleges are not currently taking on new students.

People smoke that's about all.

Parking is the worst thing about my school. It can take about 2 hours to find parking.

I have yet to find anything wrong about my school or it's campus. Even in the constant rain and wind that Northern California is currently exhibiting, I've found the layout and safety of my school to be most beneficial! The staff has been more than helpful whenever asked for assistance, and the students work very cohesively to solve any problems together! I absolutely love my school, which is why I'd apprecciate the funds to be able to stay.

The worst thing about my school is that it is very crowded. During the first few weeks of classes, finding a parking spot takes 30 minutes or more. All of the classes available get filled up very quickly and even though I registered for classes as soon as possible i was on 2 waitlists. The waitlists for the majority of the classes are very full and many people cannot get into the class they need to take. The classrooms are very crowded and often times people have to stand because there is not enough room.

Most of my classmates are just out of high school. There are usually older adults and teenagers in my classes. It's definetly a wide range. The backgrounds of students differ quite a bit. There are a lot of international students attending American River.

The food. The staff is very kind in the cafeteria , but unfortunately the food is not just poor tasting and poor quality, but bad for you too. We have very few options and nearly none that are healthy!

I consider the worst thing about school to be the attendence. This is because a lot of people, including myself, have trouble being a full time student as well as trying to work and make a living at the same time. Its nearly impossible to juggle the two but people get it done as i shall. Although, we are allowed to pick our school schedule, it s still difficult to have a school and work life, sometimes school may be scheduled during work and you can't change your work schedule, in which case you are stuck choosing between them.

The worst thing is the best thing that we have at our school. Though we help lots of students transfer to universities it causes us to have a low graduation rate. And because of that low graduation rate it causes many new high school graduates to think we do not have the protential to help them get the degree they want to achieve.

The amount of people that are being allowed in. On one hand it is great that there are so many people who are getting the opportunity to further their education, yet on the other hand, it feels incredibly overcrowded. For some of the major transferable classes, the wait lists are almost impossible to get through. This makes it hard to further our education if we are stuck in the same lower classes.

That it is hard to find a parking space on the first week of school and that you have to fill out some forms if you are dependent. Sometimes the staff is not as helpful as they should be and sometimes I feel like there are things going on that I am unaware of. These things are bad because I feel that we should have better parking or places we can park without risking a ticket and have people who will truly help us.

I would consider one of the worst things to be the parking. I have to arrive 2 hours early and study in my car so I will have a place to park. Also, the campus doesn't make you want to linger at all. I go to class and then go home. I dont' utilize anything on the campus because it doesn't seem that inviting.

I haven't really found any thing bad with the school, I've only been their for one semester and it has been a great experience so far.
