I wish that, before entering Amherst, I had developed an understanding of the value of travel, and how to integrate it with my 'homebase' academic/extracurricular pursuits. One of my biggest regrets is not traveling abroad during my undergraduate years. I had a tremendous experience at Amherst, but I feel that I missed out on an important process, not just of self-discovery, but also of how to maneuver a world of infinate possibilities and utter sensory overload. Global travel gives rise to a perspective and logic that cannot be holistically emulated by remaining firmly planted on ones home turf.
